Pat Wagner from The Joseph Company met with us yesterday at their work site at Austin Ford Dealership. The company was started in 1965 by his grandpa and continued as a family run business. Pat is an AHS graduate, which is great for our students to see his connections and what brought him back to town. Pat shared about the risks that come with this field as far as the cost of projects, keeping employees safe, and working with subcontractors. The students heard about bidding and how important being on time for this is in having your bid accepted. This competitive process was very eye opening to many. Pat shared the importance of learning from those around you and being open to growing. He shared about various projects that they have completed locally and in other area as well. Joseph Company managed the building of the Austin High School/MacPhail expansion, IJ Holton, and the renovation of St. Augustine’s church to name a few. We appreciate The Joseph Company and their continued commitment to the CEO Program. It was a great morning visiting with Pat! Austin Public Schools Pacelli Catholic Schools
