Today we met with Brad Fjelsta, President and CEO, and Paul Thompson, CFO/COO, from Cooperative Response Services. This was a new business to many of our students and they quickly realized how far their reach is as a business. They are a 24/7 operation everyday of the year with four different sites in addition to remote workers employing 360 workers a their four primary locations in MN, TN, TX, and MO. They started as a personal alarm monitoring system in 1991. Over time the CRC has expanded and now includes security monitoring, temperature monitoring, and work within the utility industry. Students learned about what it means to be a cooperative. They are a member driven company who works to meet customer needs and go where the members need them.
